Belgian Bonus

I made Belgian Waffles this morning for breakfast. I had planned to prepare them as dessert Friday night after the mussels and frites, but we were just too full to consume any more food.

I had never used a waffle iron before and was pleased to find out how easy it was. (Thanks for the loaner, Mel!) The Belgian Waffles were a bit more dense than waffles I'm used to eating. But they were yummy and sweet, and would have been an excellent evening treat with a scoop of ice cream! Henry even got to try a bite, and he approved.
