Dipping A Toe Into the Nile

I'm baaaaaack!  But I definitely need to take things slow.

I chose an Egyptian dish called Koushari, because all of the components could be cooked or prepared individually, and then combined and heated later.  This is essential to any recipe I work with right now, as my days with Tweedledee (Rose) and Tweedledum (Henry) are hardly predictable.

Koushari is a macaroni dish with lentils, chick peas, and rice.  Sauteed onion slices, garlic, and tomato sauce complete the hearty vegetarian meal.   Egypt's cuisine is highly influenced by other Mediterranean countries, including Greece.

Certainly not the most intriguing meal we've enjoyed, but also not the worst.  Egypt scores a 2.5.

I think if I get a few more meals under my belt I'll get back into the swing in no time...
